Called Bandon-by-the-Sea. This Oregon coast town will delight you with its charm. It is located on the Southern Oregon Coast at the mouth of the Coquille River. Bandon Oregon is 90 miles north of the California border and is approximately a 90 minute drive to Interstate 5 at Roseburg. It is home to two of the world’s premier golf courses and the Bandon Cheese factory
The Bandon Lighthouse – officially the Coquille River
Lighthouse – was built in 1896, decommissioned in 1939, and is the subject
of a major restoration effort today. The Bandon Lighthouse
may be reached through Bullard’s Beach State Park, the entrance of which is
just past the north end of the Coquille River bridge on U.S. 101. |
